Save a life today

Well guys i'll let the video do the talking today, it's so so important so please watch till the end, the message is what means the most!!

I also made a wonderful white chocolate cheescake today with fresh berries. I love food and feel that i'm a good chef that produces good food but today i was proud. I can't expalin it but i had a huge feeling of pride looking at that cake!I guess it's the reason i do this job! That and the exotic lifestyle!

Said cake

Crust:
1 1/2 cups vanilla wafer crumbs
1/3 cup melted butter


Filling:
2 packages (8 oz. each) cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup sugar
2 teaspoons lemon juice
3 eggs
1 cup sour cream
1 teaspoon vanilla
8 squares white chocolate, melted


Topping:
1 cup sour cream
2 tablespoons sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla

Crust:
Combine vanilla wafer crumbs and melted butter. Press into the bottom of a 9" springform pan.


Filling:
In a large mixer bowl, beat cream cheese with sugar and lemon juice until light. Add eggs one at a time, while beating. Stir in sour cream, melted chocolate and vanilla until evenly mixed.


Pour over crust. Bake at 350 degrees F. for 40 to 45 minutes, until just set.


Topping:
Mix sour cream, sugar and vanilla together. Remove cheesecake from oven and spread topping over top.


Return to the oven for 5 minutes. Remove and cool.


Refrigerate for at least 5 hours or overnight. Garnish with white chocolate curls, fruit, or fruit sauce if desired.

didnt realise you were raising money for zim, ive just come back from a hoilday there 2 months ago.incredable corruption there i think the bit of forex entering the country from handouts is keeping it a float which prolongs its slow death thats crippling the average killing the poorest.the only hope is rebellion or death of mugabe,zambia nextdoor looks like a better cause in my eyes they might be able to get it together.saying that im still ignorant of all the facts and your cause is of course noble.

thanks ron, taking the money there directly myself(looks like september at this stage)is one way of making sure it gets to the right people!getting rid of mugage is the only answer, however we can't continue to let people suffer in the mean time! By the way the cake mostly sponge. Cheers
